![]() Following a national search, Mike Hughes, who has been the Bears' interim golf coach since March 2008, has the been named the head men's golf coach at Brown in an announcement made by Brown athletic director Michael Goldberger. (MORE) ![]() Bears Place Eighth At Northeast Invitational Brown finished eight in its final competition of the 2008 spring season, shooting a two-round 635 (314, 321) at the Northeast Invitational, held at the Green Valley Golf Club. Sophomore John Giannuzzi was Brown's top finisher with his best outing of the season, placing 10th with rounds of 74-77--151 on the par-71 Green Valley course. Despite the eighth place finish, senior Larry Haertel tied an Ivy League record by earning All-Ivy honors for the third time.
