![]() After four days of competition, the Brown equestrian team finished fifth at the IHSA National Horse Show held at Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank, Calif. Seniors Whitney Keefe (Wellesley, MA) and Stephanie Carmack (Pawcatuck, CT), and freshman Allegra Aron (Burlingame, CA) earned ribbons for the Bears, who ended the show with 14 points, seven behind first-place Kentucky. (MORE) ![]() Bears Win All-Ivy Competition After facing the same teams week after week for the entire season, the Brown equestrian team got a bit of a change of pace this past weekend, competing at, and winning, the All-Ivy Competition, held at Cornell. In a unique aspect of the show, event championship rounds are held, and three Bears took home championship ribbons - senior Whitney Keefe (Wellesely, MA) in Open Fences and Flat, sophomore Emily Bourdeau (Longmeadow, MA) in Intermediate Fences, and freshman Dakota Gruener (Berkeley, CA) in Novice Flat. (MORE) ![]() Brown Equestrian Headed Back to Nationals After 2nd Place at Zones Senior Whitney Keefe (Wellesley, MA) started and ended the team competition at the Zone 1 Championship at Mt. Holyoke on Saturday with blue ribbons, leading the Brown equestrian team to a second-place finish and a berth at IHSA Nationals in Los Angeles on May 8-11. Keefe's two blues and another from freshman Dakota Gruener (Berkeley, CA) broke a tie between Brown and Stonehill for second place, sending the Bears on to Nationals.
