Cathy Fulford has worked at Brown for the last 25 years. In February of 2000, she became the Assistant Athletic Director/Ticket Manager. Her responsibilities include overseeing ticket operations and all ticket office sales. Additionally, she serves as the administrator for volleyball, gymnastics, and men’s tennis.
Fulford began working at Brown in August of 1978, when she was hired as Brown’s first varsity head volleyball coach. Fulford coached volleyball for 14 seasons including the first Ivy League Championship team in 1988.
Fulford received a B.A. in English and Journalism with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Rhode Island. While at URI, she was a member of the basketball team and she was the captain of the volleyball team during her senior year. After graduating, Fulford went on to play volleyball with the US National Team and she played professionally in Paris, France.
Fulford lives in Exeter, Rhode Island with her two children, Kristopher and Alysun.
